Position your phone in front of the TV so the camera can see the screen. Closer is better — the start lights should be big in the picture.
Drag a box around the start lights once the broadcast shows the gantry (before the first light comes on).
Watch the TV, not your phone. When the lights go out, tap anywhere on the phone screen. Tap early and it's a jump start.
Why it's fair: the phone sees exactly the same picture you do, so your TV, stream or satellite delay cancels out. You're timed against the lights as they appear on your screen.
No race on? Open Practice gantry on a laptop or second screen, turn on Loop, and point the phone at it to rehearse the setup.
Leaderboards: every Grand Prix and Sprint gets its own board, and your finishing position on each one scores F1-style points towards a season championship. Only live starts count. Create a private league to race your friends.
